Rural Engineering Industry is having a major role in the V. I. Sector under KVIC. As, all are aware about the traditional professional of the rural areas are mostly Carpentry, Blacksmithy, Manufacturing of different products etc. from the available resources and the need of our daily life as well as local market.

Since starting of the Industry under KVIC, this Industry use to provide technical and financial assistance to the rural artisans for producing Carpentry and Blacksmithy products along with traditional charkha making as well as the production of machineries like Oil Ghani, Handmade paper machines, Bee-Box, Potter Wheel and different machineries for processing Khadi fabrics.

Under Graomdyog Vikas Yojana, the Operational Guidelines approved by the Ministry of MSME has got wherein, the Carpentry Activities are focused for executing Pilot Projects such as, Waste Wood and Turn Wood Craft, Wooden Toys and Wooden Furniture etc.


At present, this Industry through cut edge technology providing financial and technical assistance for manufacturing enormous marketable and qualitative products for local and global market.

    Activity

    To impart 20 days Skill Up-gradation Programme exclusively on Wooden Engineering trade under REI Artisans Empowerment Hands on Training Programme.


    This is a Promotional Activities for forward and backward linkage to up-scale the un-skill / Semi skill Artisans to Skill Artisans intervening required technology, design, product development as well as diversification of products. Training to be conducted under professionals product Designer and Master Craftsman to enhance their earning and standard of livelihood. The period of the training is 20 days Hands on Training with cut-age technology and machine which will be provided by the Directorate of Rural Engineering Industry under V. I. Grant fund as per the year wise approved Action Plan.


    Vision

    Considering tremendous demand of the market of different innovative and engineering qualitative products as well as conventional items is to be produced through manufacturing unit under Rural Engineering Industry. Accordingly, as per the policy of the Government for providing technological and financial support to the rural sector for reforming of the social and economic growth as well as to stop the migration of the rural artisans to urban and major Cities, this Directorate is playing major role.


    To continue that vision, this Directorate is eager to provide technological and financial support to the existing and up-coming artisans in the engineering sector through Science & Technology, Capacity Building and marketing support for providing backward forward linkages are provided to implement successful shape of sustainable socio economic growth with the help of different schemes and programmes of NITI Aayog as well as the Programme / Industry wise Plan of Action given by the Ministry of MSME.
